Notice of Special Board Meeting - October 1, 2024 - virtual only

The Chair has called a Special Board Meeting to take place virtually on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 1:00PM, pursuant to section 12.1 of the Board’s Procedural By-law.

Due to the extraordinary circumstances of the matters to be discussed, this notice is not provided seven days in advance, in accordance with the exemption in section 43(6) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019.

At this meeting, the Board will consider confidential operational matters in accordance with section 44(2)(k) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019.

A link for public access to the virtual meeting will be available on the Board’s website in advance of the meeting. However, please be advised that it is expected that the meeting will move to an in camera session shortly after commencing.

The Toronto Police Service Board is the civilian body responsible for governing the Toronto Police Service. The Board is responsible for ensuring the provision of adequate and effective police services in the City of Toronto, setting priorities and objectives for the Toronto Police Service, approving the annual police budget and selecting the Chief of Police.
