TORONTO:  The Toronto Police Service Board’s Budget Committee will hold a meeting on Wednesday November 27 at 1:30PM at North York Civic Centre, Council Chambers. The meeting will proceed as a hybrid meeting, and is the final of a series of three Budget Committee meetings. 

The Board established the Budget Committee on June 24, 2024, with the purpose of reviewing budget requests for the 2025 fiscal year. The Committee will assess the Toronto Police Service’s capital and operating budgets, the Parking Enforcement Unit’s budget, as well as the Board’s own operating budget as these proposals are developed, prior to Board approval.

Regular Board Meeting

Subsequent to the final meeting of the Budget Committee, the budget will be considered by the Board at its next regular public meeting scheduled for December 12, 2024.

 

Making a Deputation
Members of the public who wish to make a deputation on an agenda item are invited to register through our website - https://www.tpsb.ca/budget-committee-deputation-request.  Registered deputants will have the option of making their deputation in-person or virtually. Virtual deputations can be made either by video via WebEx, or audio-only by phone.

The deputation request must be received no later than 12PM on Tuesday November 26, 2024.

The Board is responsible for ensuring the provision of adequate and effective police services in the City of Toronto, setting priorities and objectives for the Toronto Police Service, approving the annual police budget and selecting the Chief of Police.
