Toronto Police Service Board to Hold Human Resources Committee Meeting on November 1, 2024

TORONTO – The Toronto Police Service Board’s (Board) Human Resources Committee will convene its first meeting on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 11:00AM. The meeting will be conducted virtually only.

The Board established this Committee on July 31, 2024, with the purpose of reviewing all human resource matters for which the Board is responsible, ensuring that the Board's oversight responsibilities in human resource matters are fulfilled with the utmost diligence and ethical standards.

At this meeting, the Board will consider human resource matters that fall under section 44(2), (3) or (6) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019. Given the sensitive and confidential nature of these matters, this meeting will open in public and proceed to in-camera.

A link for public access to the virtual meeting will be available on the Board’s website in advance of the meeting. However, please be advised that it is expected that the meeting will move to an in camera session shortly after commencing.

The Toronto Police Service Board is the civilian body responsible for governing the Toronto Police Service. The Board is responsible for ensuring the provision of adequate and effective police services in the City of Toronto, setting priorities and objectives for the Toronto Police Service, approving the annual police budget and selecting the Chief of Police.
